Studies on the Basic of Ktc:Fischer(F344) Rats with Age

Abstract
|
|
|
This experiment was carried out to establish basic data references. Basic data references are very important to evaluate the results of animal experiments, to standardize laboratory animals and to raise the confidence of animal experiments.
For this we studied on the basic data line in Ktc : Fischer(F344) rats with age and the results were following ;
1. Body weights of Ktc : F344 male and female rats were heavier than Jcl : F344 rats but lighter than Crj : F344 rats in all period.
2. Organ weights of Ktc : F344 rats were increased with age except liver, thymus and ovary. Liver weights of Ktc : F344 male and female rats were heavier than Slc : F344 rats in 10 week old.
3. In hematological parameters, the values of RBC, WBC and HGB in Kte : F344 male and female rats were lower than Slc : F344 rats in 10 week old.
4. In WBC differential counts, Segments of Ktc : F344 rats, compared with Crj : F344 rats, showed lower rates, but Eosinophil and Monocyte of Ktc : F344 rats showed higher rates in LO week old in both sexes.
5. In serum chemistry, the values of GOT, GPT, BUN, ALB, A/G, TG, TCHO, Ca and TBIL in Ktc F344 rats were higher than Slc : F344 male rats in 10 week old but the values of GRN, GLH and TP in Ktc : F344 were lower than Slc : F344 rats.
6. In urinalysis the value of glucose were positive and the value of occultblood were negative.
